Surgical site infections (SSI) are the most common complications of urological procedures and operations. How to prevent them is very important to the treatment, quality of life and prognosis of patients. This consensus summarizes the relevant guidelines and policy documents at home and abroad, in view of the specific situation of China, put forward suitable for China’s characteristics of SSI prevention programs and recommendations. The purpose of this consensus is to promote the correct and rational use of perioperative antimicrobial agents by Urologists, to ensure the safety and effectiveness of drug use in patients, and to reduce the incidence and mortality of surgical-related infectious complications, to slow down bacterial resistance
