Brief introduction:

Standardized pain management can improve the quality of medical care while saving medical costs, and reduce patients’ pain experience in the sensory, emotional, cognitive and social dimensions. However, there is no high-quality guidelines for the management of common pain in orthopedics in China. By collecting common clinical problems, consulting literature, following the principles of evidence-based medicine, and after repeated discussions by national expert group, a consensus has been reached on the management of common orthopedic pain, which is for reference and application of orthopedic physicians in clinical work. The main contents of this guide include: pain classification, pain assessment, pain management objectives, and drug and non-drug treatment.
