Brief introduction:
Upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is a general term for acute inflammation of the nose, throat, or larynx. It is not a diagnosis, but a group of diseases, including the common cold, viral pharyngitis, laryngitis, herpetic pharyngitis, conjunctiva fever, and bacterial pharyngitis and tonsillitis. The main pathogens are viruses and a few are bacteria. The disease is usually mild, short duration, more self-healing, a good prognosis. But the incidence is high, sometimes can be accompanied by serious complications, need active prevention and treatment.
